Outdoor Maternity Portraits in Ubly, Michigan

As far as outdoor maternity portraits go, these hold a special place in my heart. This was my first time working with the lovely Nicole and I have been working with her ever since!

I love working with like minded people. There is creative magic that comes out of trusting those you work with. And out of that wonderful trust, comes great things. Our like mindedness comes in lots of ways, but a big one is that Nicole is drawn to the light and airy style, same as I am.

So I got to fly up to Michigan for these outdoor maternity portraits!

Fortunately for us, Michigan was lovely this time of year. The greenery all around gave us the perfect outdoor whimsical slate for these maternity portraits.

But let’s take a moment to talk about this dress. She looked stunning in her Selkie dress for this greenery shoot! One of the first things that I heard back about this shoot was how she looks like Cinderella here. And I couldn’t agree more.

We did have to take some things into consideration though.

As flawless and effortless as Nicole looks here, she was about 38 weeks pregnant. So I didn’t want her out in the heat or walking around too long with her that close to her due date. But looking at these photos you would have no idea she was in any discomfort whatsoever! Not only did she not complain but the only thing written on her face was joy.
