Beach Wedding in Lewes Delaware
I’m a true romantic at heart. And like any romantic, I love a good wedding day. I’m always honored to be entrusted with capturing a couples cherished wedding day memories. After all those memories are for them and all their generations to follow. So it’s not a task that I ever take lightly! But Jess and Sika’s beach wedding in Lewes Delaware was extra special for me and such an honor to be a part of.
As I’ve mentioned a million and one times, one of my most favorite aspects of my job is getting to know my clients by being a part of the big (and small) moments in their lives. I’ve been lucky enough to capture Jess and Sika’s love story for over a year now.
I got to capture their proposal, engagementheir and first home purchase. And now their Wedding that took place in Lewes Beach Delaware!
It was a beautiful summer day with Lewes Beach providing a gorgeous backdrop for their ceremony and wedding portraits.
I know we are currently in the cold winter months but if you are planning a summer beach wedding, here are a few things to keep in mind!
Think about your attire.
When you are having a portion or all of your wedding day celebrations outdoors, thinking about the elements is important. It’s your wedding day and you should choose whatever attire makes you feel your best! But if you want to feel the most comfortable go for lightweight flowing fabrics and opt for flats. You will always photograph your best when you feel comfortable. (And no one wants to be battling with high heels in the sand!)
What about hair and makeup?
For your hair consider and updo. Or if that’s not your vibe maybe a simple hairstyle to help keep your hair out of your face when the beach breeze starts blowing. When it comes to your makeup, choose the makeup look that will make you feel you’re most beautiful.
Whether you go for a full glam look or a more natural approach your wedding makeup will be beautiful! Be sure to find a make up artist that knows bridal makeup and let them bring your vision to life.
And choose your beach venue wisely!
Choose a beach that (above all else) you love and want to promise forever to the love of your life at. But there are a few things that will be helpful to keep in mind!
Do you need a permit to get married at this beach?
Would it be easily accessible to your guests?
Will it be easy to avoid the crowds at this beach or is it a popular location for locals and tourists?
Do you have a back up plan in case the weather isn’t so favorable?
When it comes to wedding planning, expect the unexpected!
Plan the best that you can and be ready to have the most memorable day of your lives.
